IALT: reflect on the strengths and weaknesses we had while this practice.

So for a bit of the morning, and after interval for a while the student leadership team (Student Councils), had some dance practice and rehearsal to do. Since it was Cook Island language week our leadership team was asked to choreograph or create an item in relation to the Cook Islands culture. It was hard but in the end we were able to find a song, and create a short dance going with the song.

In this rehearsal I think our main weaknesses was working with both genders. It was hard to include both genders, which is why we found it easier to separate into boys and girls, and choreograph our dances before combining our dances into one.

Our main strength in my view point was connecting our idea's with one another's. For example when an 2 individuals had an idea instead of picking one over the other, we thought of ways to combine those two moves together.

Overall, we were able to find that we made a short, entertaining, and relational dance to the Cook Island culture.

Do you celebrate Cook Island language week? & How?

What I would like to work on next time? Involving everyone more often, and making sure everyone's feels safe to give out an idea?!

Please leave a comment down below for me to view in the future. Please also make sure it includes feedback, or feedback to help in my learning.

Muchly Appreciated,
