As we speak tomorrow is Tamaki Primary's Food Tasting night. This night is all about show casing what this school has learnt in the past 2 terms. With the Kia Manawanui Syndicate we will be displaying 4 different things in 4 different groups. The 4 groups are...
  • Honey
  • Fitness
  • Sugar
  • Te Whare Tapa Wha
With all the groups we have different ways in presenting them. For example with Fitness they may be demonstrating Squats, Inch Worms, or other Fitness activities. And with sugar they could be comparing the amount of sugar that are being put in daily foods a majority of people digest in themselves daily.

In order to prepare ourselves for tomorrow night, we were given this whole day in completing our tasks. In the sugar group which is the group I am currently take part in.. I created a Sugar Quiz, with simple easy and short questions. This Quiz was made to help parents stay active, and energised while being in our area. Not only will they realise new facts, and quizzes, but they will see for themselves how maybe teaspoons of sugar there family, child, or even what they could be eating everyday!

Do you have what it takes to earn some more knowledge on Sugar? Well, if you have what it takes click HERE to lead you there, and GOOD LUCK...

After today I've been to find that the hardest part was Dumpster Diving. In order to find an actual real life food or liquid to match what we are talking about we had to go into classroom's rubbish bins in looking for things such as...

  • Weet-Bix
  • Up & Go
  • Muesli Bars
  • Mountain Dew Cans
And much more! The most important thing in this task was finding a way to collaborate with people I haven't yet worked with in my year 7 & 8 peers.

What are your thoughts on this? Will you be joining Tamaki Primary on Wednesday 5th of July at 4pm-6pm, to experince our Food Tasting Festival?

Please leave a comment down below and I'll get back to you!

Many Thanks!
