IALT: reflect on the Kia Manawanui Syndicate working together to become more tolerant to one another.

As you may or may not know this year room 10 is a bilingual class, for Te Reo Maori & English! As room 9 is a Pasifika class, with side languages ad cultures as..
  • Chinese
  • Filipino
And many more other interesting cultures. Now an very unlikely incident happened, which was people saying.. "Don't hang out with them, there in the Maori class", and therefore to overcoming this incident  we decided to get into groups of 5 and working together to build a rap, poem, or song based on how we could be or show tolerance to one another!

DEFINING TOLERANCE?

In my own words if I were to define Tolerance, and transform it into my own words I would have to see Tolerance as accepting people for who they are regardless, of skin colour, cultural, background, family, and past!

In my group was,
  • Matthew
  • Taylor
  • Akih
  • Irys
We created a poem and here is a video of us presenting our poem to our syndicate.

In this task or activity, we rhymed which some groups found a challenge including us but after using our common sense, and using our netbooks, to research words that would rhyme and with this we were able to complete the task given!

Also here are some more images of other groups working
