💬Blog Feedback (Rm9) 💬

IALT: reflect on how Room 9 looked at a few students blog from our class, and we gave each other feedback, on how we could improve more next time...

Today in Room 9, there were 29 different students blogs. Ms Komor choose 1 student to pick a number between 1-29. The first student to pick was Akanesi, Akanesi picked the number 15. If you had picked the number the number list of the blogs, if you were number 15 then your blog would be viewed, and your latest blog post, will receive feedback, from what some students from the class, liked and think you need to work on.

Number 15, was Gary we went through his latest blog post, which was about how Kevin Durant was ruled out with a knee injury, during the Golden State Warriors, and the Washington Wizards basketball team. His blog post was presented on the board. We had to read through and look for mistakes he could improve on next time. But nobody could find a mistake, Which then proved to us Gary 2x checked his work, made sure punctuation, and grammar was correct then published his blog post! We looked for a lot a learning intention, and his feelings and thoughts based on the article, but it was all there, which has helped me to realise 2x checking your work is very helpful.

Click "GARYS BLOG" to view his blog, and look at how he blogs, maybe you could find things he could improve on next time.

Another number that was called was number 20, which was another one of peers Kensington. Kensington's last blogpost was about welcoming everyone to 2017. He explained where he was from, what hel likes, which hospital he was born in, and also his age and date of birth. A lot was said, and a lot was also found.. for example when he wrote the hospital he was born in which was Auckland Starship Hospital he wrote it, with no capital letters, so we said as feedback he needed to use capital letters, because the Auckland Starship Hospital is a name of something (A Hospital), and if something is a name of something they need a capital letter at the beginning of the word, name, or even a saying.

Overall, after this activity, I've realised in blogging a lot is important. For example maybe a little grammar mistake was made, it may be little but it can still be noticed.

During this activity I felt confident that if my name or my blog was called out, I would be thankful to all the feedback, Some people were embarrassed of the feedback, just by looking at their face which is how I felt t first, but there's two sides to everything, a positive side, and a negative side.

A challenging challenge I found while doing this activity was looking for mistakes in other people's blog. With some blogs we viewed it was really hard to identify mistakes, but it was then again really easy for me to give out compliments to them!

One important thing I realised is the more descriptive things you blog, the more depth you will achieve from your writing!

Imagine you were doing this activity with your class, or past class.. How would you feel & Why?
